Using Articulate Storyline, I created an interactive playbook to help promote a new product. In working closely with the subject matter expert, I became knowledgeable of the new product solution and identified ways to help educate customers and internal teams. After our kickoff call, I created an outline for the module and then moved to PowerPoint to produce a mockup. Next, I migrated the content into Storyline. Finally, to add some interest to the module, I created animations using Adobe Animate and background music in GarageBand. After several iterations, the finalized module was added to the launch kit.

In technical B2B sales channels, product confidence is the difference between a dealer who recommends a product and one who doesn't. These interactive e-learning modules were built to close that gap, translating complex product specifications, installation requirements, and compliance context into engaging, self-paced content that dealers, distributors, and sales teams could complete on their own time.

 

Each module was developed through a combination of needs analysis, content outlining, script writing, visual design, and final production in Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate. Depending on the project, that also included voiceover recording, custom animation, and audio production. The work spans two clients, four product categories, and a range of formats from interactive playbooks to technical training courses with embedded quizzes and knowledge checks.

Corbin Russwin CLX3300 Series: Interactive Sales Playbook

Developed as part of a new product launch for the CLX3300 Series premium bored lock. The product marketing lead wanted a more engaging alternative to a traditional sell sheet or PowerPoint deck -- something a dealer could explore at their own pace and return to as a reference tool. The result was a fully interactive playbook covering product overview, competitive positioning, features and benefits, application examples, and ordering information, with hotspot animations and interactive navigation throughout.

I worked with the subject matter expert to develop the content framework, built a PowerPoint mockup for review, then produced the final module in Articulate Storyline with custom animations created in Adobe Animate and background audio produced in GarageBand. The finalized module was added to the global product launch kit.

A companion module covering a comparable product was also developed for the SARGENT brand within the ASSA ABLOY portfolio.

System Sensor i4: Combination CO and Smoke Detection Training

A technical sales training course developed to support the launch of the i4 combination CO and smoke detector, the first system-connected combination device of its kind. The i4 was the next evolution of the i3 smoke detector line, adding carbon monoxide detection in a single device. The primary audience was security dealers and distributors who needed to understand both the product's technical specifications and its sales value proposition.

The course covered product overview and the four core value pillars (integration, intelligence, instant inspection, and installation ease), features and benefits including CO cell life and field replaceability, wiring configurations from module to panel through detector to detector, testing procedures including the EZ Walk loop verification and RealTest functional CO test, and maintenance. A 12-question quiz at the end gave learners the option to earn a completion certificate.

 

I conducted the needs analysis, wrote the script, recorded the voiceover, designed the course in Articulate Storyline, and coordinated production with the System Sensor product team. The course was developed in three weeks with no budget and was delivered one week after product launch.

SpectrAlert Advance: AV Notification Awareness Course

A self-paced awareness course developed for the SpectrAlert Advance audible-visible notification product line as part of a broader demand generation campaign. Structured more like an on-demand webinar than a traditional e-learning module, the course covered notification appliance trends, code changes affecting the AV category, and the SpectrAlert Advance product solutions. It was designed to build brand authority during the discovery phase of the buying journey and influence specifiers and installers before a sales conversation began.

 

The course was built in Adobe Captivate with an AI-generated voiceover to maintain a consistent, professional delivery across all sections.

VESDA Aspirating Smoke Detection: Engineering Technical Training

An introductory technical training course developed to support the Honeywell sales team during the shift to virtual sales enablement at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. With field travel suspended, there was an urgent need for on-demand technical content that sales teams and channel partners could access independently.

VESDA is Honeywell's premium aspirating smoke detection platform, a Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus designed for mission-critical environments including data centers, clean rooms, museums, and telecom facilities where detecting smoke at its earliest stage is essential. The course was developed to help the sales team transition from the System Sensor FAAST aspirating line to the more technically advanced VESDA platform, covering engineering fundamentals, system specifications, and application guidance.

 

I developed the course in Adobe Captivate and recorded the voiceover myself. The module was produced rapidly to meet the pace of the pandemic-driven shift to virtual selling.
