I produce video and multimedia content designed to translate technical subjects into content that educates, builds brand authority, and supports the sales process. My role varies by project: on some I own the full production from concept through distribution, on others I function as creative and production director working with third-party production partners. The work spans thought leadership podcasts, product marketing videos, social content, and training resources across two clients and two distinct industries.

Code Corner with Dan Decker

Full production ownership: hosting, recording, editing, distribution

A technical video podcast series focused on NFPA, IBC, and ICC code compliance for fire and life safety professionals. Dan Decker is Midwest Alarm's industry affairs manager and the on-camera subject matter expert. I produce the sessions using Teams or Streamyard, edit the recordings in Adobe Premiere, and distribute through their YouTube channel, website, newsletter, and social media. The series positions Midwest Alarm as a primary educational resource for engineers, facility managers, and AHJs navigating code compliance questions.

Product Marketing and Demand Generation

These videos were produced in partnership with a third-party production company. My role was creative and production direction: developing scripts, shot lists, and supplying product imagery and technical context. The production partner handled camera, lighting, and post-production.

Product teaser: wireless life safety

A product teaser developed to generate top-of-funnel awareness for a wireless detection platform. Designed to create urgency and curiosity ahead of a product launch, driving dealers toward technical resources and sales conversations.

Technical demo: data center detection

A technical demonstration video developed for use in vertical-specific nurture campaigns targeting data center facility managers. Focused on the real-world application of aspirating smoke detection in mission-critical environments where standard detection is insufficient.

Visual case study: directional notification

A visual case study demonstrating the real-world application and safety benefits of directional audible-visible notification technology. Developed to support dealer education and sales conversations in complex notification applications.

Brand Storytelling

System Sensor: brand overview

Creative direction, scripting, shot list. Production by third-party partner, shot on location at the System Sensor facility.

A brand narrative video developed to build market trust and support national account sales conversations. Shot on location at the System Sensor manufacturing facility, the video communicated the company's product breadth, technical depth, and service commitment to a dealer and distributor audience.

Leadership team: animated feature

Full production: concept, illustration sourcing, animation, music

An animated video featuring caricature illustrations of the business unit leadership team, produced for presentation at the annual national sales event. I sourced a caricature artist to illustrate each leader, then built and edited the animated sequence synced to music. The video was presented to the full sales organization at what was one of the largest annual events for the Honeywell Fire business.

A screen-capture tutorial series produced to support the launch of a redesigned System Sensor website. Designed to reduce support friction and help distribution partners navigate the new site structure, the videos walked users through key tasks and content locations using annotated screen recordings.
